I’ve got a bad feeling about this09.25.2009

It’s a creepy day in the neighborhood: Michael Kinsell, an 18-year-old college student, wants to be the next Mr. Rogers. He’s started filming his own version, “Michael’s Enchanted Neighborhood” with familiar singing-and-sweater-changing opening, monarchial puppetry, etc. He even planned a star-studded tribute to Rogers. That’s where it all went horribly wrong. Turns out the stars that were to stud the event were never invited, his charity was bogus, PBS was pissed off and he ended up ducking reporters looking into it. Looks like someone else will have to teach kids not to be afraid of the unmarried middle-aged man in their neighborhood who likes to hang out with kids.
